The no vacancy sign at the hospital was flashing as I drove in to work and that’s never a good thing. To power me through my shift, I ate a grass fed Paleo Kit and some ground antelope emergency protein with frozen broccoli.

When I came home in the morning, I took the kids to school before dropping the car off at the shop. I was too tired to prep dinner and just went to bed…where I wasted an hour of precious sleep by tweeting. Are you guys following me on Twitter and Facebook? If not, you’re missing out on many loopy non sequiturs brought to you by Ambien CR.

When I woke up in the evening, I picked up my car before making dinner.

Here’s a sneak peek of what I served:

I spatchcocked and seasoned a chicken…

…stuffed some pats of butter under the skin…

…and stuck it in the oven.

While the chicken roasted, I made a batch of cauliflower & carrot puree

…and stir-fried some ground pork with spigarello and diced onions.

By the time I was finished with the sides, the chicken had already rested for about 10 minutes and was ready to be hacked up.

At dinnertime, Big-O proclaimed that we were eating a practice Turkey Day dinner but in miniature form.

Afterwards, I tucked the kids in bed, exercised in the garage gym, packed my meals, threw the ingredients for bone broth in the slow cooker, and zoomed my ass to work.

Oh. Did I mention that there’s only a few hours left to enter my giveaway for a SousVide Supreme Demi package? You should get on it before it’s gone!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
