Paleo Eats: 2/2/12

Did you guys read about my big reveal? I hate secrets – and since we’re all friends, I’m glad to finally be able to share the news with you. Either that, or I’m just a big blabbermouth.

Thanks for all the wonderful and encouraging comments, tweets, and constructive feedback. Fitbomb and I are happy that the meteoric spikes in our cortisol levels aren’t for nothing.

Enough about my side project…let’s get back to my eats:

Before heading to volunteer at Lil-O’s co-op preschool this morning, I rolled myself a Pure Wrap filled with sous vide chicken breast, greens, and a big slather of homemade mayo.

After my stint at the school, I ran some errands and came home to inhale a late lunch. I fried up a 4505 Meats merguez sausage and some organic baby kale and gobbled it up. Our local Costco (Mountain View) sells gigantic bags of prewashed baby kale, and they’re perfect for quick stir-fries and salads.

Speaking of 4505 Meats, Fitbomb schlepped home two enormous bags of grass fed brisket and shanks from San Francisco. I love him. I don’t see dead people but I do see barbacoa and meaty bone broth in my future.

At dinnertime, I roasted a tray of Damn Fine Chicken…

…and made cauliflower two ways. In my Mariquita Farm mystery box this week, I got two teeny cauliflower heads that were surrounded by gobs of greens.

I chopped up the greens and ribs and sautéed them with onions in bacon grease…

…and roasted the measly handful of florets dusted in Magic Mushroom Powder.

Yes, the recipe for this spice blend (and others) will be available on my upcoming iPad cooking app.

Here’s my dinner plate:

Toodles for now!
