I gotta get ready for my trip so this post will be short.

For breakfast, I chowed on bacon, scrambled eggs (fried in bacon grease), and sliced heirloom tomatoes.

Then, I zoomed over to CrossFit Palo Alto and did time trials with the gals in the women’s class. My post workout meal was a packet of spicy grass fed jerky chews and canned pumpkin puree with ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and toasted coconut flakes.

At lunchtime, I reheated leftover mini burgers, roasted radicchio, and stir-fried spigarello and bacon.

I also ate a bunch of toasted coconut flakes, mac nuts, and a square of 100% cacao.

In the afternoon, Dr. HA and her brood came over and the mommies chatted while the kids made mud pies outside. I waited until they left before I removed the beef tongue from the SousVide Supreme. Stripping off the outer layer of the tongue ain’t for the faint of heart and I didn’t want to scare them off.

I fried the tongue “steaks” in coconut oil…

…sliced tomatoes, made a bowl of guacamole, washed a head of lettuce, and assembled some lengua tacos.

We’re taking off for Hawaii tomorrow so my posts may be intermittent for the next week. Aloha!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
