Only Big-O was school-bound today, so we weren’t as rushed this morning. I even had time to savor a leisurely breakfast of pan-fried bacon and a veggie scramble…

…before I sped off to my class at CrossFit Palo Alto. I had a fun workout with the gals and ate a nuked yam afterwards to replete my glycogen stores.

In between Ninjago duels with Lil-O (the kid is obsessed), I seasoned and vacuum-sealed four grass fed sirloin tip steaks

…that I dunked in the SousVide Supreme (132 F for eight hours).

For lunch, I chowed on leftovers again.

In the late afternoon, Fitbomb came home early so we he could clean our house in preparation for my mother-in-law’s party tomorrow. Yes, it’s that important to him to have a tidy house. Plus, he knows I’m okay with living in a sty and won’t lift a finger to clean until and unless you can scrawl messages in the counter grease. Well, maybe not even then.

I pretended to help clean until l was rescued by dinner duties. I made an Asian-flavored broccoli slaw and cherry tomato stir-fry…

…that I topped with sous vide grass fed sirloin tip steak, egg omelet, and roasted portobello mushrooms.

True confessions: I’m gonna take a blogging break tomorrow and not post until Sunday…or Monday. It’ll be worth the wait ‘cause I’ll document all the eats at the catered Paleo party we’re hosting AND tomorrow night’s dinner at Locavore in San Francisco.

Until then, get your NNP fix by following my tweets or Facebook status updates!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
