This morning, I couldn’t wait to attend my class at CrossFit Palo Alto. I didn’t go last week since I was working my graveyard shifts so I was really itching to spend some quality time at the box with the girls . Yes, Tim, I guess I’ve drank the Kool-Aid.

Before class, I shared a spinach and mushroom frittata with my hubby.

After my workout, I gobbled up ½ a baked sweet potato and roast turkey deli meat. Then, my mother-in-law, Little-O, and I piled into the car and drove to Los Gatos to choose some wigs and prosthetic bras at The Next Step.

For lunch, we stopped by Nick’s On Main and I ordered steak frites with bordelaise sauce. I asked them to hold the frites and double up the spinach salad.

Woo boy, that was good!

After shuttling Big-O to kung fu class, we came home and I started preparing dinner. I sautéed some Italian heirloom broccoli with shallots in ghee…

…baked a tray of sweet potatoes in the toaster oven for future post-workout meals, and made a batch of semi-homemade Paleo spaghetti and meatballs.

Tomorrow’s gonna be jam-packed with activities so I gotta get some much needed shuteye. G’night!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
