Happy Memorial Day, peeps!

While my hubby was blazing through Murph with our buddies at CrossFit Palo Alto

…I savored a leisurely breakfast of scrambled eggs…

…and bone broth back at the hotel.

We reunited midmorning and met up with our buddies, S & J. As you can see, I got my exercise on as well…

…and the boys got their fill of canines and baseball.

It breaks my heart that Big-O wants a pet so badly – but it ain’t gonna change my mind about keeping the Nombomb cave a pet-free zone.

For lunch, we ordered takeout from Asian Box.

Yep, it was deja vu all over again.

My hubby and I split a double chicken box…

…and a double pork box for the nth time…

…and there weren’t any complaints from the non-peanut-eating gallery.

In the afternoon, we came back home to wash mountains of dirty laundry and raid our fridge for meat and veggies to bring back to the hotel.

At dinnertime, I roasted a tray of sliced king trumpet mushrooms seasoned with Sunny Spain

…and a couple of yams.

While the veggies were getting toasty in the oven, I fried Turkish sliders

…and sautéed a big bag of spinach and sliced shallots in the remaining burger grease.

Here’s my dinner plate:

It’s finally cherry season again so I gobbled up a small bowl of them for dessert.

It was really nice getting nine(!) hours of sleep last night so I’m hitting the sack NOW.

Good night!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
