First things first…HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dr. HA!

Today’s post will be abbreviated because I really need to get some shuteye. We’re leaving for Cabo in less than 12 hours and Fitbomb and I are totally unprepared. Ack!

For breakfast, I ate leftover Moroccan lamb and chestnut stew over a bed of nuked frozen broccoli.

I’m throwing in this picture of Lil-O because I can’t figure out what’s going on here. To me, he seems like he’s channeling Hannibal Lecter. Discuss.

At lunchtime, I fried up a batch of Big-O burgers.

These meaty patties are named after my eldest son because they contain his favorite ingredients: bacon, beef, and sauteed mushrooms.

I need to double the batch next time because I want more leftovers.

In the afternoon, I baked some yams that I topped with melted ghee…

…and mixed up a batch of homemade La Kama seasoning.

Tonight, a bunch of us met at Martins West gastropub to celebrate Dr. HA’s birthday. There are no pics of dinner because I didn’t take any – and even if I did, I wouldn’t post ‘em because I need to go to bed. Just know that the food and company were fab as usual.

Hasta mañana!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
