Hey everyone! It’s time for more free stuff!

In honor of my blogaversary, I’m giving away some of my FAVORITE products every Tuesday through November 14. Today, I’m delighted to announce that the lovely ladies behind Sophia’s Survival Food and Spice Hound – two local San Francisco Bay Area artisans – have generously donated awesome prizes for one of my dear readers.

Sophia Dubrovina, a Palo Alto native(!), crafts tasty Paleo-friendly grass fed jerky chews right here in the Bay Area.

This jerky ain’t that sticky sweet variety you buy at the convenience store – it’s a drier, chewier, beefier version made with wholesome ingredients. Richard Nikoley declared her grass fed jerky chews as the World’s Best Beef Jerky. That’s quite a ringing endorsement ‘cause Mr. Free The Animal isn’t known to mince words! I’m a big fan of her jerky as well – especially the spicy variety.

Over at Spice Hound, Tammy Tan sources the best spices, salts, and herbs from all over the globe. She started out by selling her spices at local farmers’ markets but she now has an online store and a brick and mortar spice emporium in San Francisco.

Her spice blends are amazing and they totally punch up whatever I’m cooking. Whenever I’m at a loss for what to cook for dinner, I just grab a protein and sprinkle on a random Spice Hound blend. I never tire of emergency protein because I get a different delicious version each time.

Okay, enough blathering…wanna know what you can win?

The prize is a four-pack of Grass Fed Jerky Chews (1-ounce packages of four flavors: spicy, mild, original, and original with lemon) and four of my favorite Spice Hound blends (curry powder, Dukka,Tabil, and seasoning salt).

How do you win?

  2. Like the Sophia’s Survival Food fan page on Facebook

Good luck!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
