I know, I know: the holiday break is over. It’s time to head back to school or work, and eat out of a lunch bag again. But turn that frown upside down, buster! And when you’re done contorting your face to meet my demands, sit your butt down and go through the ever-growing list of Paleo packed lunch resources that I update every fall with my friend Jackie Linder of Lunchbots.

The Roundup’s filled with some of my favorite lunch ideas from the last three years—plus a ton of tips and links to even more suggestions.
Don’t stress out if your lunches don’t look exactly like mine. My goal with these posts is not to guilt you into making Pinterest-worthy lunches. Rather, these lunch series are meant to inspire you to simply MAKE YOUR OWN LUNCH. As Jackie always reminds me, the healthiest meal is the one you pack yourself. The vending machine is not your friend.
One important note: not all of the components of the lunch ideas in my Roundup are Whole30-approved. But most of ’em are—just bookmark the treats (Hail Merry macaroons, Mini Cinnamon Apple Scones, Liar Bars from my cookbook, chocolate covered almonds, and chips) for later.
For January, if you’re craving something sweet, pack some fresh fruit instead. In my neck of the woods, a mandarin orange is the perfect portable sweet treat this month.
You can do it. Trust me. Now go pack your lunch!
