After the bumps in the road we experienced yesterday, we weren’t optimistic about meeting our original April 27 release date for the Nom Nom Paleo app. From scouring the web, we had learned that after an app is rejected by Apple, it typically takes another 7 days or so before the re-submitted app to be reviewed again.

BUT…

When extenuating circumstances call for it, an app developer can petition for an “expedited review” by Apple. You basically write a note begging for the App Store reviewers to take pity on you, and not make you wait another agonizing week. Fitbomb stayed up into the wee hours of the morning crafting a beseeching note to Apple, and…

Lo and behold, Apple granted our request for an expedited review this morning. Of course, even an expedited review can take another few days to be completed, so we still figured the app wouldn’t actually get re-examined until early next week.

BUT…

Apple actually moved with lightning speed, and approved the Nom Nom Paleo app within a matter of hours – which means our original release date of April 27 is back on!

Mark your calendars! The app should appear in your country’s App Store at approximately midnight local time – so you lucky ducks in New Zealand will have a 16-hour head start on those of us in the United States.

Yippee-Ki-Yay, my friends!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
