Lil-O celebrated his birthday at preschool today, so we baked a batch of grain-free vanilla muffins to share with his friends.

Unfortunately, his party was short-lived because he barfed midmorning…and I had to carry him home because my car was in the shop. I actually enjoyed the walk from his school because it was like we were hugging the whole way home.

For lunch, I reheated leftover stir-fried mushrooms…

…and served them with leftover roasted bell pepper salad and a crab salad wrap.

Afterwards, I stuck a covered Le Creuset dutch oven containing Moroccan-spiced lamb and chestnut stew into the oven to braise.

For dinner, I stir-fried some spinach and onions…

…and dished it up with the stew.

I so wish there were more hours in the day to accomplish everything I want to do. First and foremost, I’m itching to read Melissa Joulwan’s new cookbook, Well-Fed: Paleo Recipes For People Who Love To Eat.

I’ve flipped through all the pages in my copy, and it’s just redonkulous: fantastic tips, gorgeous photos, wonderful prose, adorable illustrations by her uber talented hubby, and mouth-watering recipes. I’ll post a review soon, but in the meantime, download her free 30-page teaser PDF to take a peek at its awesomeness – and then order a copy of the book. Well done, Mel!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
