Here’s what I ate on my second to last night of work: spicy Grass Fed Jerky Chews, a cup of coconut cream, a square of dark chocolate, a bowl of carrot salad, and leftover stir-fried kelp noodles.

It wasn’t super exciting nosh but sometimes I just want filling, reliable food to get me through my shift. Stop judging me.

When I got home in the morning, Fitbomb was busy in the kitchen. Besides making the kiddos breakfast and packing their lunches, he also threw together a batch of Paleo trail mix. I thank my lucky stars every day that I snagged him back when we were cubs at U.C. Berkeley.

I need to limit my portion size to a small ramekin ‘cause I can go bonkers chowing on this omega-6 filled snack.

For dinner, we all went out to celebrate 3 out of the 4 grandparents’ birthdays at Los Altos Grill. It’s not the most exciting grub in town but that’s exactly why the older folks like it. You get uncomplicated, familiar food (e.g. prime rib, roast chicken, etc.) in HUGE portions while dining in a cozy yet upscale setting.

Fitbomb and I shared a plate of deviled eggs, chilled shrimp, grilled loup de mer, and steamed spinach.

When we returned home, I took a nap before heading to work for the last time. I’m so excited that I’ll be on vacation until December 28th. Now if only I’d stop yawning, people would actually believe my enthusiasm…

FYI – I won’t be posting a Paleo Eats tomorrow. As a gift to myself, I’m not gonna photograph or post my eats on any future flip day (the day I transition from being a vampire back to a regular mommy). We’re working hard on that side project I mentioned a few posts back, so I’ll be taking little blogging breaks here and there.

Good bye for now!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
