Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans Book Release Party + Giveaway by Michelle Tam https://nomnompaleo.com

[11/24/13 UPDATE: Whoa! The tickets for the party SOLD OUT in just a few hours! Thank you all for your excitement for our book! And for those who didn’t nab a ticket, I’ll be posting about my book tour events soon—hope to see you then!]

Got plans for the hours between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014? Don’t get stuck listening to your roommate complain about another New Year’s hangover; instead, come join us in San Francisco for the Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans Cookbook Release Party!

I can think of at least five reasons you must come celebrate with us:

1. THE BOOK!

It’s our labor of love, and the reason we’re throwing this shindig!

Our book was a labor of love, and we hope you dig it as much as we do.

And besides, we included butt jokes in the book.

Copies of our cookbook will be available for purchase at the party (while supplies last!), and we’d be thrilled to sign ’em for you. We love this book, and can’t wait to share it with you in person!

2. THE FOOD!

What’s a cookbook release party without insanely great food? We’re going to pass around the bestest Paleo brunch bites this side of the Mississippi!

Our friend Simone Shifnadel of Zenbelly is catering the party, and she’ll be sending around plenty of hearty, brunch-y appetizers. I also have it on pretty good authority that Simone’s famous No Joke Dark Chocolate Cake will make an appearance, too.

Plus, with generous food contributions from friends like U.S. Wellness Meats, Whole Foods, Good Eggs, and others, we’re in for some seriously tasty grub.

3. THE PEOPLE!

While you eat, you can mingle with your fellow foodies and Paleo nerds. What could be better? I mean, where else are you going to find such a large gathering of people who don’t eat bean burritos?

Bonus: A number of super-incredible guests will be making the trek to the Bay Area to attend our party, including some of my favorite authors and bloggers like:

  • George Bryant (of Civilized Caveman, creator of the Caveman Feast app, and upcoming coauthor of The Paleo Kitchen)!
  • and others!

4. THE PLACE!

If you’re not from the San Francisco Bay Area, don’t you think it’s time you came for a visit? Book party or no, San Francisco’s kind of an incredible place to kick off the New Year.

Our party will be held at The Box SF, a gorgeous, intimate space located in a historic 1920s-era building that once served as a printing plant for William Randolph Hearst.

We’ll have the run of the joint!

5. THE SWAG!

The book release party will be the blow-out event that kicks off my book tour (details coming soon!), so I’m pulling out all the stops: each guest at our party will receive a gift bag stuffed with awesomeness, including special items from Pure Indian Foods and Red Boat Fish Sauce.

Best of all: Each swag bag will contain exclusive gifts from us to you, including a magnet, Nom Nom Paleo knee socks, and…

an exclusive, limited-edition, 3½-inch designer vinyl action figure!

Also, at our book release party, we’ll also be conducting prize drawings, so if you stick around, you just might win even more amazing stuff!

But here’s the catch:

Space is limited, so only 125 tickets will be made available to the public. We’re charging just $25 per ticket, which will help defray our costs a tiny bit, and will gain you access to the event, plenty of amazing food and beverages, and a hefty swag bag that—by itself—is worth more than the price of admission! (And before you ask: ticket holders can pick up a swag bag only by actually showing up at the event—we’re not mailing them out.)

So hit the Eventbrite link below to snatch up tickets for the party before they’re gone. You know I’m not one to exaggerate, but this is a can’t-miss event. (So don’t miss it!)

One last thing:

I know some of you are bummed that you can’t make it out to San Francisco to celebrate my book release with me. (It totally bums me out, too!)

So for this week’s giveaway, I’m going to set aside THREE of my limited edition Nom Nom Paleo vinyl figures and award them as prizes. Three lucky winners will each receive a figure.

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
