Here’s another quickie write-up about my eats today. I purposely didn’t create a new recipe so I wouldn’t have to write a long post. Geez, this blog is taking over my life! In all seriousness, I’ve got some new recipes down the turnpike – I just have to get over my biweekly post-work hangover first.

Breakfast: I made myself a three-egg scramble with leftover chicken apple sausage, frozen broccoli, and Sunny Paris seasoning.

Can you believe I was too lazy to make a frittata? Seriously.

Post-Workout Snack: I devoured a baked yam, a couple slices of Applegate Farms Organic roast beef, and a handful of roasted chestnuts after my class at CrossFit Palo Alto.

Lunch: Lil-O and I met my friend, H, at Paradise Kabab House and I ordered a Soltani Combo platter (koobideh and marinated lamb) with extra salad.

This place makes tasty meat sticks.

Afternoon snack: I mindlessly ate gobs and gobs of coconut flakes and some macadamia nuts. I’m not proud of it but whatevs.

Meal Planning: (Spoiler alert for R and Lazy Caveman!) I threw a pot of Bo Kho into the oven in preparation for tomorrow night’s dinner.

Dinner: I made a super easy emergency protein stir-fry with ground grass fed beef, mushrooms, onion, and garlic that I seasoned with Red Boat fish sauce, coconut aminos, salt, and pepper. I served it over a bowl of nuked frozen broccoli.

I told Big-O that we weren’t having a fancy dinner tonight and he took one look at his bowl and stated, “But this IS fancy, mommy.” Awwwwww.

Lights out!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
