When I got up this morning, I was still coughing and congested but I was feeling more like myself than death warmed over. That being said, I still skipped out on the women’s class at CrossFit Palo Alto. Naughty Nom Nom.

For breakfast I heated up a bowl of beefy bone broth that I topped with chopped scallions.

I spent the rest of the morning washing and folding heaps of dirty laundry and building Lego sets with Lil-O.

At lunchtime, I made a quick salad with reheated leftover barbacoa, roasted bell peppers, and butter lettuce.

Then, I caved and ate a TON of macadamia nuts. I bought a can at Costco the other day because I thought I had my intake under control after completing the Whole30.

Wrong! Mac nuts are now officially on my Do Not Buy list.

At dinnertime, I sauteed some baby chard with shallots, fish sauce, salt, and pepper…

…and reheated frozen sous vide chicken breasts in the SousVide Supreme. After I plated the chicken on top of the greens, I poured on some Rao’s Arrabbiata sauce and sprinkled on some fresh basil.

That’s it for tonight! Good bye for now.

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
