Just so you know, I didn’t devour a baker’s dozen of donuts when the clock struck midnight.

Instead, I chowed on a can of sardines and downed a small glass of defrosted coconut milk. Not quite as sexy as a box of deep-fried sugary gluten, but my protein- and fat-packed nosh fueled me for the rest of my busy night shift.

When I came home in the morning, I rolled a few slices of my brother-n-law’s delicious smoked turkey thigh (which has sugar *gasp* in the brine), a pile o’ greens, and a slather of mayo in a Pure Wrap and gobbled it up.

I’m excited to eat smoked meats again.

Before I went to sleep, I prepped the ingredients for Big-O Burgers (bacon and ‘shroom stuffed patties)…

… and Roasted Broccoli and Bacon.

In the evening, I popped the broccoli and bacon in the oven…

…fried up the Big-O sliders (beef, bacon, and ‘shrooms)…

…and mashed up some guacamole.

Here’s my dinner plate:

Welcome back, bacon. Oh, how I’ve missed you!

Since I’m done with the Whole30, I’m going to resume my biweekly blogging break on my Flip-Day. That means no Paleo Eats post tomorrow!

About Michelle Tam

Hello! My name is Michelle Tam, and I love to eat. I think about food all the time. It borders on obsession. I’ve always loved the sights and smells of the kitchen. My mother was (and is) an excellent cook, and as a kid, I was her little shadow as she prepared supper each night. From her, I gained a deep, abiding love for magically transforming pantry items into mouth-watering family meals.
